I gave my quick questions to Matt from Black Delta Movement:
What is the best gig you have had so far and why?
That’s like asking a parent to choose their favourite child! Our shows at Leeds Academy with The Jesus & Mary Chain, Hull City Hall with The Stranglers and our most recent performance at Humber Street Sesh are up there but we couldn’t possibly choose a favourite.
Where is the furthest you have travelled from home to play?
We played two shows in Moscow last year.
If you had to cover another album in entirety, what would it be and why?
That’s a tough call – at the moment I’d probably go with Baby 81 by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club because I’ve had it on a lot lately. I think we could probably do it justice sound-wise too hopefully. That will probably change tomorrow though when I think of another I’d also love to do.
Where would be the dream venue for you to headline?
Brixton Academy is a big one for me – I saw BRMC do their thousandth show there and it was one of the most incredible gigs I’ve ever seen in my life. It’s a stunning venue as well. My absolute favourite venue at the moment though is Manchester Albert Hall. Stunning place!
If you had to pick, what would your favourite album be?
Again, favourite child! I would probably go with Stanley Road by Paul Weller though purely because it reminds me of being a kid and my dad playing it all of the time. Maybe Wild Wood though? I’m not sure! Tough question!
