Quick Questions with Doe

I asked Doe some quick questions:

What is the best gig you have had so far and why?

Dean: Probably Deadpunk 2016 in Bristol ‘cause everyone went crazy for our Spice Girls cover and it made me feel special.

Jake: I don’t think I could pick just one but yeah Deadpunk ‘16 was definitely one of my favourites, not just with Doe but out of all the shows I’ve ever played.

Nicola: It wasn’t necessarily the best show but playing on a moving boat earlier this year has to be some kind of band/life highlight.

Where is the furthest you have travelled from home to play?

Jake: If we told you we would have to kill you.

If you had to cover another album in entirety, what would it be and why?

Dean: Tubelord’s r o m a n c e ‘cause it’s super underrated and Joey’s riffs are ice cold.

Jake: The Presidents of The United States of America by The Presidents of The United States of America cos it’s cute and fuzzy.

Nicola: Who Needs Guitars Anyway by Alice Deejay because it’s genuinely a great album and we could call it Who Needs Bass Guitars Anyway and it would be a funny joke. Double winner.

Where would be the dream venue for you to headline?

Jake: Oooh tough one, I dunno… um… space?

Nicola: Moth Club in Hackney, please respond to our emails.

What is your favourite pre-gig food?

Dean: Nothing usually ‘cause I’m too nervy and/or excited to eat.

Jake: I wolfed a whole load of chinese food before a show once and nearly vommed so I too try and stay away from most consumables other than beer. My favourite post-gig food, however, is pizza and/or chips.

Nicola: It is very cliche isn’t it but I do just bloody love pizza at any time of the day. It has to be at least an hour before playing though otherwise I feel doughy and sleepy.
