Nick J.D. Hodgson – Tell Your Friends review.

From the opening track ‘RSVP’, Nick J.D. Hodgson immediately reminds you just how good he is at writing catchy melodies and clever lyrics, and this doesn’t stop throughout the entire album with ‘Honest Face’ and lead single ‘Suitable’ being equally as brilliant.

‘Tomorrow I Love You’ is another album highlight for me, with Nick again proving himself to be a master of the hook. ‘Iceberg’ is a rare thing; a mid album slow track that doesn’t cause a lull or feel like it’s an interval.

Overall, this is a great solo effort, all the tracks are smartly written and brilliantly produced – but I didn’t expect any less really.
